Easy Valentine’s Day Crafts For Toddlers!

Valentine’s Day is approaching us!

That means it’s time for cute crafts with the little ones.

( whips out the glue, scissors, googley eyes, and whatever else needed to make cute things…)

Today, my lovely daughter and I went to Michaels to pick up a couple of the easy and super cheap seasonal crafts. As soon as you walk in…BOOM!

Hearts, kisses, love stickers, glitter(Valentine’s Day throw up) are all at the entrance.

That was easy!

They had waaaay too many cute things that little Miss grabby fingers kept adding into the cart.

( Why did I even have a cart? I just wanted two things *Sigh* )

I had to stop in the middle of an aisle to clear out the cart without her looking.

Anywho! I did manage to pick up 4 items that can make a few easy and adorable crafts.

Cupcake Suncatcher Kit ( $1.99 )

Foam Heart Shapes ( $1.99  )

Googley Eyes ( .99 cents  )

Craft Value Pack ( $8.99 )

Micheals ALWAYS has some type of sale. And ALWAYS has some type of coupons. So, if you enjoy both of those and want to use your creativity, this is the place to go.

FIRST, Wren started off with the Cupcake Suncatcher.

I started showing her the steps on how to put the paint and fill in the spaces. She caught on as soon as I showed her.

She came running to me ( because I had to sit and feed the hungry baby monster ) and was super proud at what she had just created!

Don’t you just love when they get super happy over creativity? I do.

Then….not even 5 minutes later, she began to attack the craft kit.

Let the messes begin!

The reason I had gotten these things was to make some type of heart person…thing?

You know, with the arms and the legs and wiggly eyes?!

You would think I would have picked up some glue to do that right? WRONG.

I came home and realized that we didn’t have craft glue!!

Then I came across some Krazy Glue.

Yeap.

You read that correctly.

Krazy Glue.

You know things were about to get really sticky.

We tore open the huge pack of pipe cleaners and glittery fluffy balls, some foam hearts and got started.

A you can see, I ended up making one of my own…

It wasn’t easy either.

The Krazy glue got stuck onto my fingers.

Annnnnnd I sorta got worried that my skin was going to rip off on to a fluffy ball BUT I had so much fun watching my baby girl enjoy herself!

Next time, I think we will end up making some foam frames with some photo’s of the two kiddos 🙂

What activities do you guys like to do with your kids?

Send in some photo’s and I’ll post them on my next activities post!

Until next time, Mommies!

  1. Awh, this is so cute! I’m always on the hunt for simple, inexpensive activities to do with the kids. I love this idea and think it’ll even work with my JK and SK girls too. Of course, glitter added to anything definitely makes it a them activity LOL

  2. Krazy glue for the win!
I love simple crafts. Thanks so much for sharing what you and your sweet daughter did.
Michael’s has been calling my name. I might have to take a trip now. 😉

  3. Admiring the hard work you put into your site and detailed information you offer. It’s good to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same unwanted rehashed material. Wonderful read! I’ve bookmarked your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account. dekkbedfdfdg
